Ice Ribbon - #796 Sendai Ribbon 2017 (4/15/2017)

2. Tequila Saya, Kyuuri & Akane Fujita vs. Matsuya Uno, Maruko Nagasaki & Hiiragi Kurumi

***1/2

4. Maya Yukihi vs. Misaki Ohata

***1/4

5. DASH Chisako & Manami Toyota vs. Tsukushi & Tsukasa Fujimoto

***3/4

6. ICE×∞ Championship: Risa Sera (c) vs. Mochi Miyagi

These two brought the heat. I like Sera's edge. She chokes Miyagi with her own whip and wrestles more aggressively. Miyagi herself had something of a transformation, more aggressive approach than usual as well. This was worked so differently than the Risa Sera we've seen recently.

Rina Yamashita vs. Yuuka (Kuros Galahorn, 7/12/2015)

Kuros Galahorn - ~ Flames was Burned, Close de Fire!  (7/12/2015)

Rina Yamashita vs. Yuuka

This was a 15-minute timeout draw that was a breeze to sit through. They're throwing elbows to loud smacks. Yamashita hits these hard short-arm lariats, but Yuuka keeps coming back to life. Yuuka nails a great dropkick that Yamashita sells like an explosion. These two were beating the hell out of each other, and the hate and urgency intensifies as the clock ran out.

Aoi Kizuki vs. Yuuka (Ice Ribbon, 6/27/2015)

Ice Ribbon - #659 ~ 9th Anniversary in Sendai (6/27/2015)

Aoi Kizuki vs. Yuuka

This was an entertaining match. Yuuka tries to beat Kizuki in a battle Mongolian chops at one point and that is obviously a losing strategy. Yuuka's rallies were energetic and she hits a beautiful triangle cross body.

OZ Academy - ~TOP ARTIST~ (3/19/2017)

1. OZ Academy Tag Team Championship #1-Contenders Tournament, Semi Final: Kaori Yoneyama & Tsubasa Kuragaki vs. Sekigun (Mayumi Ozaki & Yumi Ohka)

Aggressive work over session from Sekigun on Yoneyama, and a spirited comeback from Zoo Friends. Ohka goes crazy with her whip!

***3/4

2. OZ Academy Tag Team Championship #1-Contenders Tournament, Semi Final: Aja Kong & Yoshiko vs. Manami Toyota & Aoi Kizuki

This turned out much better than it should have been. Manami and Kizuki have good chemistry and their comedy routines are well done.

***1/2

3. Maya Yukihi vs. Syuri

This was a nice little match; concise and simple. There were a few awkward moments, but this was otherwise great.

***1/4

4. 2 out of 3 Falls: Hiroyo Matsumoto, Hikaru Shida & Rina Yamashita vs. Sonoko Kato, Kagetsu & Manami Katsu

This was a great prelude to Hiroyo/Kagetsu. The 2/3 stipulation made for a neat, lucha-esque structure. Katsu makes her presence felt.

***1/2

5. OZ Academy Tag Team Championship #1-Contenders Tournament, Final: MK4 (AKINO & Kaho Kobayashi) vs. Kaori Yoneyama & Tsubasa Kuragaki

Kinda feel like Kaho not coming back from Mexico with a new gimmick was a missed opportunity. This was a fun match, a roller coaster of action.

Sendai Girls (4/6/2017)

1. Tag Team Championship Challenger Decision Tournament, Semi Final: Konami vs. Mika Shirahime

This was an awesome opener with some great close-proximity grappling.

***1/2

2. Tag Team Championship Challenger Decision Tournament, Semi Final: Hana Kimura vs. Mio Momono

This was a good display of rookie fire and desperation. Hana-chan sends Monono half-way across the ring with an awesome diving dropkick for the finish.

***

4. Hiroyo Matsumoto vs. Meiko Satomura

The action here was very exciting and had some nice big moves and hits.

****

5. Tag Team Championship Challenger Decision Tournament, Final: Hana Kimura vs. Mika Shirahime

This was an even stronger version of the match they had last month. I like how this feud is developing.

****

6. Sendai Girls World Tag Team Championship: Hikaru Shida & Syuri (c) vs. DASH Chisako & Cassandra Miyagi

This was loads of fun, fast paced and jam-packed with stiff hits and double teams and counters and WEAPONS. Plus the crowd was hot.

****

7. Sendai Girls World Championship: Aja Kong (c) vs. Chihiro Hashimoto

I like how they build into that first German suplex and how desperate Aja gets as she becomes worn down by Chihiro. That finishing stretch was bonkers. Really strong storytelling in this match as Aja puts over Chihiro HUGE.

Queen's Quest (Io Shirai, HZK & AZM) vs. Hiroyo Matsumoto, Jungle Kyona & Tora Natsuko (Stardom, 4/15/2017)

2. Kaori Yoneyama vs. Kris Wolf

Hey, a rematch from the 5★STAR GP2016 FINALS, and there's some callbacks to that match here too. Wolf gets overly ambitious and does an extremely sloppy springboard headscissors takedown sequence that ruined the flow until the finish. She finds a counter to Yoneyama's rolling German that I liked.

**

3. Artist of Stardom Championship Tournament, Semi Final: Queen's Quest (Io Shirai, HZK & AZM) vs. Hiroyo Matsumoto, Jungle Kyona & Tora Natsuko

This was another really good Queen's Quest trio in a line of really good Queen's Quest trios. Jungle Friends were a very energetic team, and I thought Tora was fun. HZK's feud with Kyona is starting to heat up. Io is the ace, but she kind of let's her teammates get the spotlight.

4. Artist of Stardom Championship Tournament, Semi Final: Oedo Tai (Kagetsu, Hana Kimura & La Rosa Negra) vs. Kairi Hojo, Hiromi Mimura & Konami

La Rosa Negra is wearing pink, which is not part of Oedo Tai's palette. But none of that even matters because Hana-chan gets a big win over Hojo.

**3/4

5. Mayu Iwatani & Hetzza vs. Jessicka Havok & Tessa Blanchard

**1/2

6. Artist of Stardom Championship Tournament, Final: Queen's Quest (Io Shirai, HZK & AZM) vs. Oedo Tai (Kagetsu, Hana Kimura & La Rosa Negra)

This felt all over the place.

Santana Garrett vs. Kairi Hojo (Stardom, 5/15/2016)

Stardom - Gold May 2016 (5/15/2016)

Wonder of Stardom Championship: Santana Garrett (c) vs. Kairi Hojo

Santana Garrett is a wrestler who I consider to be one of the most offensively overrated, but I thought she did good here. She was laying in her moves, and Hojo was selling and bumping well. The callback to the finish in their first title match was a nice touch.

Cherry vs. 235 (Ice Ribbon, 6/25/2016)

Ice Ribbon - #732 ~ 10th Anniversary Kitazawa Raising Army (6/25/2016)

Submission: Cherry vs. 235

There's a sequence where Fumiko twists out of Cherry's dragon sleeper into one of her own that was fantastic. Really well-worked submission match.
