1. Konami & AZM vs. Shiki☆d (Starlight Kid & Shiki Shibusawa)

**1/2

2. Mandy Leon & Kay Lee Ray vs. Mari Apache & Tora Natsuko

*1/4

3. 5★STAR GP Blue Stars Block: HZK vs. Toni Storm

4. 5★STAR GP Red Stars Block: Kris Wolf vs. Viper

**3/4

5. 5★STAR GP Red Stars Block: Hana Kimura vs. Hiromi Mimura

I enjoyed Hana's control segment in this. The heel work was amazing, and she was very aggressive throughout, really laying in those strikes. Hiromi's the perfect target for bullying.

6. 5★STAR GP Red Stars Block: Kagetsu vs. Xia Brookside

The middle part of this could have been better, but I thought it otherwise flowed well and they were throwing awesome strikes. Best match of Xia's career.

**3/4

7. 5★STAR GP Blue Stars Block: Io Shirai vs. Jungle Kyona

Io's injured neck is the MVP of this tournament! I'm liking the matches being built around it so far. Kyona brought her wild energy as the aggressor. Io was bumping hard, and there were nifty spots, like the tombstone counters and Io's springboard dropkick sequence.

Stardom - 5★STAR GP2017 (8/20/2017)

1. Queen's Quest (Viper and AZM) vs. Mari Apache & Tora Natsuko vs. Xia Brookside & Ruaka vs. Shiki☆d (Starlight Kid & Shiki Shibusawa)

**1/2

2. 5★STAR GP Red Stars Block: Hiromi Mimura vs. Kris Wolf

**3/4

3. 5★STAR GP Blue Stars Block: Kay Lee Ray vs. Tam Nakano

**

4. 5★STAR GP Blue Stars Block: HZK vs. Konami

I've been waiting for this match all year, and when it's finally booked it's only 4 minutes! I got some enjoyment out of this. I always enjoy HZK, and Konami too, but I wish they had worked quicker.

**

5. 5★STAR GP Blue Stars Block: Jungle Kyona vs. Mandy Leon

**1/4

6. 5★STAR GP Red Stars Block: Hana Kimura vs. Mayu Iwatani

Mayu has been wearing a more revealing attire lately, so this became something of a sexy battle, and Hana nailed it with her character work. The boob-targeting is classic Stardom.

***

7. 5★STAR GP Red Stars Block: Kagetsu vs. Yoko Bito

This is easily the best Beatrice has looked since returning from injury. She messes Kagetsu up with those deadly kicks. They worked a fast paced. Very good sprint.

***1/2

8. 5★STAR GP Blue Stars Block: Io Shirai vs. Toni Storm

Toni is the unbeatable superwoman, and Io is in a vulnerable state due to her neck injury. They play up the danger of the Strong Zero piledriver that caused the injury and it led to intense moments. Io does this counter to the piledriver that was stunning.

HARASHIMA & Toru Owashi vs. Golden☆Lovers (Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi) (DDT, 1/24/2009)

DDT - Dramatic 2009 Special (1/24/2009)

KO-D Tag Team Championship: HARASHIMA & Toru Owashi (c) vs. Golden☆Lovers (Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi)

This turned into a great match once they got a good flow going. HARASHIMA & Toru had clever tag maneuvers in their arsenal to rival Golden Lover's chemistry, and the HARASHIMA-Ibushi kick battle was excellent. Nice bloodshed from Omega who gushes from the nose after taking a stiff kick.

Shuji Ishikawa & Isami Kodaka vs. Kyosuke Sasaki & Masashi Takeda (Union Pro, 11/6/2009)

Union Pro (11/6/2009)

1000 Roses Death Match: Shuji Ishikawa & Isami Kodaka vs. Kyosuke Sasaki & Masashi Takeda

Highly entertaining. They find all sorts of neat ways to use the roses. They've got chairs wrapped in roses, rose-covered ladders, Kyosuke wraps his leg with roses and kicks with it. Kodaka was the FIP; he's always willing to take punishment and bump like a mad man. He was bleeding everywhere just moments in. There's a Gotch piledriver from Kyosuke on Shuji that looked disgusting. Shuji's head was too low. Anyway, great match.

Tokyo Joshi Pro - Brand New Wrestling ~The Beginning of the New Era~ (8/26/2017)

1. Yuna Manase & Yuki Kamifuku vs. Mizuki & Nonoko

*

2. Idol Lumberjack Death Match (Referee: Sanshiro Takagi): Azusa Takigawa vs. Maki Ito

*1/2

3. Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship: Yuu (c) vs. Nodoka-oneesan vs. Marika Kobashi

This was a fun 3WAY match. I was really into the Marika-Yuu chop battle.

***1/2

4. Shoko Nakajima Vs Solo Darling

**

5. Miyu Yamashita vs. Meiko Satomura

Satomura was mowing down Miyu with kicks, but Miyu manages to cut Satomura off and rallies with head stomps. I liked Miyu's aggression when she locks in the cobra clutch. Satomura gave Miyu more than I expected, so kudos to that.

****

6. Dream Dragon Bombers (Rika Tatsumi, Maho Kurone & Shiro Koshinaka) vs. NEO Biishiki-gun (Saki-sama, Masa & Yukio Saint Laurent)

Koshinaka was the most over performer in the building. I'm liking Yukio in this doctor gimmick. Rika getting her big win over Saki-sama was a nice moment.

***3/4

7. TOKYO Princess of Princess Championship: Yuka Sakazaki (c) vs. Reika Saiki

This is one of those matches that has a gradual build up to a great finishing run, and it makes everything that happened leading up to it worth it.

****

HARASHIMA vs. KUDO (DDT, 5/31/2015)

DDT - Audience 2015 (5/31/2015)

KO-D Openweight Championship: HARASHIMA (c) vs. KUDO

Oh man, these guys work so well together. They start off tenderising each other's midsections with kicks, knees and punches, and the match only gets more and more intense as it continues. HARASHIMA was the perfect asshole here, using punches to the face and smiling when he had the advantage. KUDO had to make well-timed counters to gain the win, having learned from previous encounters. This was incredible.

*****

Isami Kodaka vs. MIKAMI (Union Pro, 6/2/2011)

Union Pro - Nimomakezu Rain

DDT Extreme Championship - Best Two out of Three Falls Match: Isami Kodaka (c) vs. MIKAMI

Honestly, I was concerned for Kodaka watching this match. MIKA was wrestling like the worst type of indie shitter. He botches a Tornado DDT on the outside, he lands directly on top of Kodaka's head with his over-rotated moonsault, he powerbombs the back of Kodaka's head onto a ladder.. lots of nasty stuff. It made the match in a way, because I was anticipating what type of reckless dumb shit he would do next. The ending was weak.
