Atsushi Onita & Masanobu Fuchi vs. Evolution (Atsushi Aoki & Hikaru Sato) (AJPW, 6/20/2017)

AJPW - 2017 Dynamite Series (6/20/2017)

All Asia Tag Team Championship: Atsushi Onita & Masanobu Fuchi (c) vs. Evolution (Atsushi Aoki & Hikaru Sato)

This was fun. Fuchi gets his arm worked over as the FIP. Onita has his goons with him and he does his garbage wrestling spots. Aoki looked like such a doofus in this match, getting schooled by these old men. It was ridiculous, but at least he picks up the win.

Tokyo Joshi Pro - Tokyo Circuit 2014 Round.6 (6/22/2014)

2. Tokyo Princess Cup - First Round: KANNA vs. Yuka Sakazaki

Not much happening in this one. Yuka Sakazaki looks like a trainee for an early 2000s indie promotion. You get a rough idea of her gimmick, but it still needs the finishing touches. KANNA isn't good, and never got good.

3. Tokyo Princess Cup - First Round: Erin vs. Miyu Yamashita

This was a main event that went 4-minutes, and it wasn't an engaging 4-minutes. It was heatless and dull. These were interesting times for Tokyo Joshi Pro.

Stardom - Shining Stars 2017 (6/25/2017)

3. Shanna vs. Gabby Slays

Thought this built well into Gabby's comeback, and Shanna had great strikes.

**

4. Oedo Tai (Hana Kimura & Kagetsu) vs. Queen's Quest (AZM & HZK)

Hana's arm is targeted after Kagetsu accidentally hits her with a chair, and she does a great job selling it throughout. This was a decent match.

5. Mayu Iwatani & Yoko Bito vs. Team Jungle (Jungle Kyona & Natsuko Tora)

Tora catches a beating from Mayu & Bito; I liked their workover session of kicks and knees. Bito strikes looked especially good. Great main event.

Chikayo Nagashima vs. Ryo Mizunami (WAVE, 5/3/2016)

WAVE - Catch the WAVE 2016 ~ Scramble (5/3/2016)

Catch THE WAVE Chrome Yellow Block: Chikayo Nagashima vs. Ryo Mizunami

Nagashima is putting Mizunami over, but Mizunami is going to have to endure one hell of a beating before that can happen. This was wicked and hard-hitting; Nagashima is a frightening little woman!

Tokyo Joshi Pro - The 4th Tokyo Princess Cup Opener (7/2/2017)

5. Tokyo Princess Cup - First Round: Rika Tatsumi vs. Yuna Manase

Yuna was looking strong and I thought she had a real chance of winning, until Rika caught her axekick! Big fan of Rika using the billiken to gain the win.

6. Tokyo Princess Cup - First Round: Yuka Sakazaki vs. Miyu Yamashita

This match just kept getting better and better as it went on. A very well-worked main event, with slugs being thrown and Miyu selling her damaged leg like a pro. Yuka's reverse STO counter was nuts; one of my favorite spots in wrestling right now. I dug the combinations they were hitting, especially Yuka's elbow flurry. The counters were great, and the match felt like it could go either way.

DDT - BLACK OUT presents KING OF DDT 2017 FINAL ROUND (6/25/2017)

2. KING OF DDT 2017 - Semi-Final: HARASHIMA vs. Shigehiro Irie

If only I had caught this live! It was worked in such a way that the match ending in just 2 minutes would have been totally unexpected. Irie immediately storms to the back, really selling the defeat.

3. KING OF DDT 2017 - Semi-Final: Akito vs. Tetsuya Endo

Akito picks apart the leg like only he can, with clever offense and counterwork. I don't recall Endo doing much of anything.

4. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Championship: vs. NωA (Makoto Oishi, Shunma Katsumata & MAO) (c) vs. Shuten-doji (KUDO, Yukio Sakaguchi & Masahiro Takanashi)

Very fun trios spotfest. Makoto takes this crazy spot where he gets diving double knees from KUDO into a powerbomb from Masahiro.

6. DAMNATION (Daisuke Sasaki & Mad Paulie) vs. Kaz Hayashi & Keisuke Ishii

***

7. ALL OUT (Konosuke Takeshita & Diego) vs. Mike Bailey & Kazusada Higuchi

Bailey was a massive dickhead here. He KOs Diego at the start and taunts Takeshita with his partner's limp body. This was heated and did its job in getting me excited for the upcoming Takeshita/Bailey match.

8. KING OF DDT 2017 - Final: HARASHIMA vs. Tetsuya Endo

HARASHIMA gives Endo an aggressive workover, targeting the taped legs with kicks and flashing his sinister smile when he gets the upperhand. Endo has been working underneath the entire tournament, and he's selling good and makes a hard-fought and intense comeback. The Spanish Fly that won Endo his previous matches gets kicked out of in a nice bit of continuity. Simple, but great match.

Hikaru Shida vs. Rina Yamashita (WAVE, 5/3/2016)

WAVE - Catch THE WAVE 2016 ~ Scramble (5/3/2016)

Catch THE WAVE African Violet Block: Hikaru Shida vs. Rina Yamashita

Shida was feuding with DAIJO around this time, and this match plays into that with her heeling it up, shoving Sawako Shimono at ringside. Yamashita's back is wrecked with backbreakers, and a stretch muffler that is applied in a way that adds pressure on the worked over abdomen. Genius stuff. Yamashita's Rainmaker comeback sequence was topnotch.
