I would probably need a better understanding of 90s AJPW to truly appreciate this match, but going in cold, I thought it was solid. Misawa's offense looked crisp and hit good. Jumbo's desperation was played up well in the finishing stretch, he begins to get flustered and starts making mistakes, which Misawa exploits to get the win. Budokan Hall explodes into cheers and there is a big celebration, which would have me believe that this is a very, very special moment.
