Akane Miura vs. Miyu Yamashita vs. Shoko Nakajima (Tokyo Joshi Pro, 11/20/2016)

Tokyo Joshi Pro - BATTLE MISSION 2016 Code.6 (11/20/2016)

TOKYO Princess of Princess Championship - #1 Contender 3WAY Elimination: Akane Miura vs. Miyu Yamashita vs. Shoko Nakajima

Akane's monster performance in this match was tremendous. She's unstoppable even as Miyu and Shoko team up against her. Eventually, Shoko manages to catch Akane off guard and eliminate her. Then it's down to Shoko and Miyu, who are still hurting from the damage inflicted by Akane, so they fight with urgency and desperation. An amazing 3WAY match.

Tokyo Joshi Pro - Shinjuku Love Rin (9/22/2016)

3. Rika Tatsumi vs. Yuka Sakazaki

A surprising submission-based match. The struggles were nice, but I wish they could have sold better.

4. Biishiki-gun (Saki Akai, Ai Shimizu & KANNA) vs. Shoko Nakajima, Akane Miura & Maho Kurone

There's a dramatic moment where Ai and Saki crawl across the battlefield, bodies scattered everywhere, and reach out for one another only to faint before they can touch. Fun match for KANNA's graduation.

5. TOKYO Princess of Princess Championship: Miyu Yamashita (c) vs. Yuu

An intense, fast-paced clash with some great mat wrestling. I liked the aggression from Miyu in her grappling, the Cobra Clutch slam she does is always great. Yuu does her Judo slams and those stiff chops.

Tokyo Joshi Pro - At this Time, Get Excited In Yokohoma! (3/25/2017)

1. Maho Kurone vs. Yuna Manase

Maho's offense is doing a better job incorporating those zombie mannerisms into her offense. Yuna puts Maho to rest with an axe kick that sounded vicious.

**

2. Mil Clown & Nodoka-oneesan vs. Maki Ito & Reika Saiki

Maki Ito has all of the tools to become a Sakura Hirota-level comedy performer. Reika looked the best she has ever looked in her hot tag sequence.

3. Konkatsu-gun (Azusa Takigawa & Nonoko) vs. Yuu & Shoko Nakajima

Nonoko is a genus of the ring. How often do you see a wrestler block a 619 with their boobs? Yuu effortlessly dispatches #1 contender Azusa with a sleeper, which has me interested in how they'll work their title match.

4. Rika Tatsumi vs. Saki-sama (w/ Masa)

Saki-sama whips Rika with red roses and uses a Paradise Lock to turn her into furniture. Fun match. I can't say enough about how great Bii-gun is.

5. Akane Miura vs. Miyu Yamashita

This was Akane Miura's graduation so they were putting forth a lot of effort to make this special. Great arm work from Miyu, and I liked that sequence where Akane absorbs Miyu's strikes Ishii-style and roars back on the offensive. An awesome clash of power and technique.

Tokyo Joshi Pro - Osaka LOVE Rin (10/16/2016)

1. Akane Miura vs. Marika Kobashi

Good showcase of what absolute tank Akane Miura can do.

**

2. Azusa Takigawa vs. Maho Kurone vs. Shoko Nakajima

Azusa's commentator gimmick is fascinating. Nakajima has interesting ideas, but isn't quite at the level where she can execute them smoothly.

**

5. Nodoka-oneesan & Yuu vs. Miyu Yamashita & Rika Tatsumi

I love how Rika focuses on the neck with sleepers in preparation for her finisher. Yamashita is on a different level than the roster. I can only hope that the rest of them stick around long enough to catch up to her. This match was to build heat for Yuu/Tatsumi and I think it did its job.

Tokyo Joshi Pro - Beer Garden Fight 2016 (8/13/2016)

1. Maho Kurone vs. Nodoka-oneesan

This match saw the debut of Maho Kurone. There were some wonky transitions, but this was alright.

2. Tokyo Princess Cup - Semi Finals: Hyper Misao vs. Shoko Nakajima

Hyper Misao is not good. Nakajima does a half-way decent job getting the best out of a bad worker.

**

3. Tokyo Princess - Semi Finals: Akane Miura vs. Yuu

Good sprint between two chubby wrestlers. Akane has that stocky Tomohiro Ishii build and Yuu has a judo background so she's a bit of a natural. Both of them impressed me with this one.

4. Nonoko & Rika Tatsumi vs. KANNA & Yuka Sakazaki

Kind of like one of those WAVE fanservice matches, but without the barefeet and unclothing.

5. Marika Kobashi & Miyu Yamashita vs. Azusa Takigawa & Reika Saiki

Yamashita and Saiki trading kicks is the centerpiece of the match. Takigawa did a great job in standing out, she was hilarious. Very fun tag match.

6. Tokyo Princess Cup - Finals: Shoko Nakajima vs. Yuu

This match is gritty and ugly. Yuu hits the sloppiest vertical suplex in the world, but it only adds to the struggle. It felt raw like everything else in this match.
